1st Thursday Connect
1st Thursday Connect resumes October 1, and the theme is School Picture Day! Will you join us for teaching from Colossians, fun connecting activities, and school lunch? We promise, this School Picture Day will be painless and fun!

We have been reading Colossians for the month of September and will read Exodus in October. Come to 1st Thursday to receive a personal reading plan and Side by Side Bible reading questions to use with a friend throughout the month. Reading plans can also be found online and in the church lobby.
Ask a neighbor, a co-worker, someone you’d like to get to know, or a good friend to partner with you in reading God’s word Side by Side this month. You set the time and place. Or, come on Sunday mornings at 10:45 to the lower fireside room where Amy Crooks leads a small group of women through Side by Side Bible reading. Either way, no preparation is necessary. It is low-key and nonthreatening. Just show up when you can, read, and talk about the Bible together.
You don’t need to be participating in the monthly Bible reading to join us at 1st Thursday Connect. All are welcome, and each month stands alone, so if you miss one, join us next time!
Scripture Memorization
Each year, New Life Women offers a scripture memorization plan. This year, we are memorizing the short book of Colossians. It can be done by simply working on and reviewing a few verses each week. Pick up a packet at 1st Thursday Connect to make your own memorization booklet, or print the materials from the website, and get started any time. Any progress you make in memorizing God’s Word is a win!
