Lebanese Open House (August 26th)

Calvin and Ruth Kim have been appointed as missionaries with World Venture to Arab Baptist Theological Seminary in Beruit, Lebanon. They are members of Village Church in Beaverton. They recently approached New Life Church about partnering with them in ministry. The Global Outreach Team would like to introduce you to this couple.

Ministry Focus- Calvin and Ruth hope to see Arab believers equipped to reach out to those living throughout the Middle East and North Africa- Lebanese, other Arab peoples, as well as Arab-speaking North Africans who come to Lebanon for study and training.

Ministry Experience- Calvin served in various Korean immigrant churches in the area of children, youth, college/young adult, and music. He also participated in short-term missions to Lebanon and India. Ruth participated in short-term missions to the Philippines, Vietnam, and China. She worked with YWAM in Salem, Oregon, to develop strategies and prayer/finance support network for North Korea missions.

Prayer Focus- Pray that Calvin and Ruth will be constantly filled with the Holy Spirit, and that they will communicate Jesus Christ in faith and love. Pray that the Kims will have a good working relationship with the Lebanese nationals and that God will raise up Lebanese leaders who are passionate for the Lord, well-trained in Bible and theology, and mature in their character.

Open House- If you would like to learn more about how you can partner with this couple in ministry, you can attend a "Lebanese" Open House on Tuesday, August 26th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the home of Art and Holly Foullon (5799 Perrin Street in West Linn).
