Awana Volunteers Needed

Now that summer is over and school is back in swing, our Awana club will be back in session. Our kick-off meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24. Our meetings will go through the first week in May, taking off for Thanksgiving, Winter/Christmas Break in December, and Spring Break.

Awana Club Overview

Our goal with Awana is to share the love of Jesus with kids and help them to develop their spiritual foundation through integrated evangelism and discipleship.

There are three Awana clubs organized by age:

Cubbies (3-4 years)

Sparkies (kindergarten - 2nd grade)

Truth & Training, aka TnT (3rd - 6th grade)

The clubs run from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are broken up into the following 3 parts, roughly 25 minutes each:

Table time

Table time is small group time, 3-4 kids with a Table leader. During this time the small groups work on their Awana handbooks, pray and on occasion make crafts. As the kids complete sections in their Awana handbook, they earn points that can be later used at the Awana Store that is held at the end of the year.

Game time

Game time is large group time where our small groups come together to compete and have fun.

Story time

Story time is large group time that includes music, a story/lesson and weekly awards
